The city of West Hollywood commissioned a mural on the side of its public library on San Vicente Boulevard. The large wall sits at the corner of San Vicente and Santa Monica, visible from the intersection, with black and white letters running across the concrete. The commission called for something permanent that would hold up to the California sun — work designed for the outdoors, now part of the city itself.
