In March 2012, RETNA painted the Bowery Wall at Houston and Bowery in Lower Manhattan — the same wall Keith Haring painted in 1982. Jeffrey Deitch curated the rotation and Tony Goldman was behind the program; RETNA came in right after FAILE's installation came down. Approximately 20 by 5 meters of prime New York real estate, filled in two to three days. Deep in Raekwon — Wu-Tang — at the time, those lyrics found their way into the work, visible in the reds and blues laid down. The wall carried history, and the artist added his own to it.
